Hello
I have made this blog because I wanted to. It is my own little corner of cyberspace where my passion for wood reigns and i am hoping to watch just myself and my wood evolve into the way I envision it to be. I would love to use no patterns and be able to find my true "self" in here some where. I have found out alot about me already that I guess was buried somewhere and happened to be released due to a fall and subsequent broken knee.or maybe it was the otherway around and I needed to slow down ,take a deep breath, and try something I normally wouldn't have tried. But whatever the case these pages showcase a passion/calling and even tho I don't know what any of this means,I do know I want to learn,learn,learn more, and be able to make a quilt of Willowshimmers time here on earth,or perhaps Allison's PEACE!!!
This was made from a piece of pine destined for our wood pile,(wood is our only heat source)when my “Hubby” noticed the coloring and it was ON!!! He was able to salvage a couple pieces and plane them and these horses are the end result. I love the way the coloring works for this! I also was lucky enough for my husband to salvage a couple more pieces which are in these pages.
